Fees for Consular Report of Birth Abroad and Passport:

  • Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) – $100
  • Passport for minor applicant – $135

Note: All fees are non-refundable. The passport fee is a non-refundable processing fee and is retained by the Department of State whether or not the passport is issued.

Payment methods:

Cash:

  • U.S. dollars
  • In birr (amount is according to the U.S. Embassy daily rate of exchange)
  • Credit cards: Only international credit cards that can accept charges in U.S. dollars
