The 2020 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders

We are officially launching the 2020 Mandela Washington Fellowship program! The MWF is open to young leaders in Ethiopia who meet the following criteria:

  • Are citizens of and residents of Ethiopia;
  • Are between the ages of 25 and 35 at the time of application submission;
  • Are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States;
  • Are eligible to receive a United States J-1 visa;
  • Are not employees or immediate family members of employees of the U.S. Government;
  • Are proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; and
  • Are not already alumni of the Mandela Washington Fellowship.

2020 MWF Information Sessions in Addis Ababa and other cities

 

You can attend our information sessions during the application period in the following cities. MWF team and MWF alumni will be available to respond to questions from applicants at the info sessions.

All sessions in Addis Ababa will take place at the National Archives and Library Agency (NALA), or Wemezekir from 4:00-5:30 PM.  All sessions will have a sign language interpreter and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
