As part of our cooperation with Ethiopia, the Cultural Section manages a variety of educational and cultural exchanges. Well known programs include the Fulbright Program, the Humphrey Fellowship, the International Visitors Leadership Program, and the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. The Cultural team also promotes the arts and culture of the U.S. in order to increases mutual understanding between the people of Ethiopia and the United States.  Educational exchanges bring American Scholars and Students to Ethiopia to teach and/or conduct research at Ethiopian higher institutions while parallel programs facilitate Ethiopian student and scholar visits to the U.S. for educational exchanges, leadership trainings, professional development and experience sharing.
